Act now, avoid the rush with D&D body shop

It’s that time of the year again when people are in a frantic rush for everything - filling the malls and shopping centers to buy presents, getting stuck in traffic just to get home in time, and doing last minute groceries for Christmas dinner ingredients.

I, for one, do not really understand what the rush is all about. I mean, how is it beneficial to anyone to risk their sanity, life, and limb, and stretch their patience to the limit just to do something they actually had the entire year to do. I am not really talking about getting a turkey in February or going back to your hometown a month in advance.  I’m talking about those presents for loved ones a lot of people wait until the last minute to buy. I mean, if you really love someone, why would you wait for December 24 to buy a present and settle for anything that’s left in the store?

That’s why I have a gift closet where I store items I have bought for people I want to give gifts to for whatever occasion the whole year round. When I see something I know a friend or a loved one would surely like, I buy it right away. Not only do I save myself from getting stressed with all the masses to do holiday shopping, I also know that whatever present I give will surely be appreciated.

And I think this same philosophy should be applied when choosing a body repair shop for your car. You can’t wait for an accident to happen to your car before running helter-skelter and look for a good repair shop. Of course, depending on the business that your insurance company will recommend is not that great of an option too, not unless you’re the type to be contented with passable, okay jobs.

But seriously, having your car repaired by a repair center that just comes with your insurance policy is like giving just any gift to someone just for the heck of it; just so that you can say that you gave a present and you did not forget the person. I am not comfortable at all with having my car treated as just another job for a shop to finish because they are obliged to. I want the expertise of people who can do full car restoration with the best know-how and equipment, nothing less.

That is why as early as I bought my car, I already scouted for the best shops in my area. Good thing D&D Body Shop on North Amphlett Boulevard was an easy find, and was I relieved to find it! There’s just an added level of confidence in me, knowing that I have a place I could totally rely on, whether I need help on fender benders, windshield repair, or major car damage. With I-CAR Gold certified professionals using state of the art repair and restoration equipment, I can recommend D&D to any of you, whether you’re sporting the latest Italian drive, a Japanese family vehicle, or a tough American muscle car.

So, this holiday season, give yourself the assurance of getting the top guys to help you in any car repair issues. Avoid the anxiety and the rush. Just like getting your gifts ready before the holiday hustle and bustle, you’ll be glad you’ve enlisted D&D’s expertise on your side.

I’m Not a Rihanna When It Comes to Car Repair

You do not want not just anybody or anyone fixing your car right?

I am asking this question because I did exactly that once, when I had my car repaired by the nearest repair center I could find. Suffice to say I wasn’t satisfied with the result. If ever you come across an unfortunate circumstance with your car, it is good to know that you can bring it to a good body shop that will help you restore your car to its original state.  You must not have any qualms of bringing it to a certified and trusted collision repair center.

Only now have I realized that I don’t want to be a Rihanna. Yes, the RnB singing sensation who is reportedly back with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. Yes, the same guy who beat him and left him with scary bruises. Now, they’re back in each other’s arms. No, I don’t want to be someone who hasn’t learned my lesson. I had to find one car center where I can bring my car and be assured that it will be returned to me the way it was before any damage to it.   Good thing I found that repair center in DnD Body Shop.

Now, you might ask if car care centers like DnD Body Shop, which are certified to repair well-known brands like Mercedes Benz, Ferrari, and BMW, as well as American and Japanese models, may be more expensive than the other centers in the city, right? Yes, that is true.  However, the peace of mind you will have knowing that your car is in good hands is worth every cent that you pay for. Besides, if your insurance will pay for the damage, then the cost is not an issue.

A word of advice: Do not scrimp out on repairs that are needed to fix the mess made on your car as a result of a collision.  The initial instinct of others is to bring it to an economical shop that does collision repair but are not certified repair shops. But how will you know if the guys in these other repair shops really know what they are doing when trying to repair and restore your car?

The great thing with I-Car Gold Certified facilities like DnD Body Shop is that you are sure they maintain a high level of standards when it comes to car repairs and restoration.  They have the technical know-how, right equipment, and trained and certified technicians to handle any repair needed by your car to have it restored to its former glory.  You may be able to save some money by going to other car shops, but you can never be sure with the quality of their work.  You might end up needing to bring you car back to their shop over and over because of their sloppy work.  In the long run, it comes out more expensive than bringing your car to an I-Car Gold Certified center right away.

For me, I am assured I won’t be a Rihanna ever – I’ve learned my lesson and I won’t ever let my car be touched by just any shoddy repair center. Only the best can handle my car, and I hope the same goes for you.

Learning My Lesson, Thank you DnD Body Shop

Have you ever been in a situation where something was borrowed from you, and when it was returned, it doesn’t feel the same anymore? The horrors! You want things to be the way they were before, but something just doesn’t feel right.

That’s what happened to me when I had my car fixed in the nearest body repair shop I could find. I thought, hey, what could go wrong? Was I wrong! When my car was returned to me, I felt, sure, they did a passable job with windshield repair and in repainting my vehicle. But then, do I deserve a passable job? Why settle for a passable job when I can have the best, right?

Lesson Learned: Cars damaged in collisions cannot be left to shabby repair shops. They need a great deal of work to have them restored to their original form. You can consider yourself lucky if you live near one that is an expert in car restoration. The service they provide should be taken seriously because aside from the fact that you are spending a good deal of money on it, your safety depends on it as well. You simply have to be a hundred percent sure that your car is restored to factory specifications once you get to drive it again. Fixed does not suffice; you deserve a fully restored vehicle.

For sure, there are a lot of body repair shops that you can bring your car to for repair with rates that are affordable. This may be tempting to take; however, the concern with these kinds of shops is that you can never be too sure about their repairmen’s technical know-how. The best place to bring your car for restoration is always with the experts where there are technicians who are not only certified, but undergo continuous training for all kinds of repairs.

DnD Body Shop is one restoration and collision shop wherein you are assured of a high level of service for their customers. They meet the Mercedes-Benz Factory Standards, making them an authorized repair shop for all models of Mercedes Benz. But that’s not all. Their expertise go beyond Benz cars, as they pride themselves in being experts in American, European, and Japanese models as well. With a wealth of experience in repairing any model of any year, you are assured of top-notch service.

There are shops that could afford to give you low prices for their services because they do not have certified technicians. DnD happens to invest heavily in not just having the best equipment, but also having the best set of people around who and well trained to use their specialized equipment. DnD makes sure that their repair specialists are I-Car Gold certified and up to date with the latest in car restoration and repair technology.

With DnD, you are assured of being provided with the best service there is. As for me, I am fully confident that when DnD returns my car to me, I won't get just an okay car, I will get a car that has been restored by the best. And that feels great!

Game On in Getting the Best Car Restoration Services

If you’re a gamer like me, you certainly know the feeling of finally reaching the last boss, only to find out that you unknowingly brought a machine gun to a rocket launcher fight (or variants thereof). Sometimes, it’s in not having saved enough one-ups to allow you multiple respawns just to defeat the boss. And sometimes, it’s just plain not knowing what to expect because you didn’t bother to pick up and read clues along the way.

As the adage goes, prevention is always better than cure. A cliché, maybe, but a damn good one; and as demonstrated above, one which doesn’t always necessarily apply only to medical issues.

Video gaming examples aside, another popular application of the saying is in getting insurances for all the nifty (and expensive) things that people buy. If it’s a mansion, get home insurance. If it’s a new car, go to a collision repair center or some such and enlist their services in case your vehicle gets damaged. And yes, if you’re a celebrity and your status hinges on some particular body part (Kim Kardashian’s derriere, for example), go right ahead and insure that. No one’s going to stop you (and your millions) from doing all that kooky celebrity stuff.

But we’re digressing now.

Getting back to the point: It pays to have a sense of foresight on these things. In my case (and don’t worry, I won’t be going back to the video game analogy again), I recently enlisted the services of a collision repair facility highly recommended by a friend. I must say, I feel pretty confident (and safe) about getting their services.

Having trouble finding out which places to go to for quality car repair and restoration? Just follow the tips below:

·Ask around for good recommendations. Ask around a lot.
This is probably the best place to start. After all, nothing says quality service like oodles of satisfied customers.

You’ll have to work at this, though. Asking a few people is okay enough, but there is always the danger that they are merely driven by brand loyalty and/or advertising perks. The more people you ask, the less chances there would be of the above counter intuitive factors.

Also, make sure to localize your queries as much as possible. What good would it do to travel all the way to another state just because there’s a place there that everyone’s talking about?

·Do a full inspection of a company’s facility and services.

Don’t rely too much on what has been written and spoken. The best way to really measure an vehicle repair shop’s worth is to see things for yourself. You wouldn’t want to gamble your Ferrari on just any body shop now, would you? I thought so.

Request for a tour of their place. Inspect how they conduct business, how they treat customers, and whatnot. Bottom line: Despite other people’s glowing reviews, if you feel in your gut that an auto repair shop just isn’t right for you, go with your instincts.

·Read the fine print.

You know all those warning bells that popular movies and such send out regarding the importance of reading the fine print? Well, it would do you well to heed them. You shouldn’t be made to jump through loops only to find those same loops having holes. You should instead be able to work your way around the companies’ provisions et. al. and make them jump for you.

Easier said than done, of course; but a necessary precaution nonetheless. In any case, you shouldn't have to rush things. Remember what I said about gut feelings? Yeah, that applies here, too. Demand a full disclosure of the services you will get from the repair center and how much all services will cost.

Don’t worry, though. Tried and tested companies do exist; one of which is the collision repair center I mentioned earlier, D&D Body Shop right here in San Mateo, CA. I did all the things I mentioned above, and I was thoroughly impressed. Service is quick and efficient, and all its technicians are certified by I-CAR, an internationally recognized organization. I was quite awed by the variety of cars they repaired, from BMWs and Audis to Fords and Toyotas, they do the whole range!

But don’t just take my word for it. Go the facility yourself, and don’t forget to get into the nitty gritty. With D&D Body Shop, it’s all in the fine print and the small details, and the finished product is just way awesome.

Tips for Choosing the Best Quality Repair for Your Car

Despite the many advances in technology over the years, at least one element has remained which continues to put any advantages these technologies may have to moot. That element, of course, is human error.

Sometimes, the effects of this element may be relatively negligible at best; for instance, when a person forgets to unplug his phone’s charger after a long charge, causing the battery to get fried.

In other cases, however, the consequences are much more severe, like when a car crashes due to an accident. Even when we take human injury out of the equation, the deformation the car goes through would be more than enough to give anyone headaches up to the roof.

Fortunately, humans are just as adept at fixing problems as they are at making them. For the above case in particular, we have car restoration services that repair vehicles and polish them to look brand new again. Some will even go beyond mere body repairs by offering to pimp out your ride should you want it.

That said, the probability for human error is still there; this time in the form of bad judgment calls regarding which car repair shops to go to. Below are a few of pointers to prevent you from falling into more misfortune.
  • Avoid repair shops that seek hassle-free business for both parties.
The “hassle-free” part should only factor in for the customer, not the shop. You’ll know that a shop isn’t all that interested in putting in the necessary work when they insist that your car needs only partial repairs even though it’s clear that a complete overhaul should be called for. Another is when they conveniently “forget” to tell you about parts repairs which are in fact shouldered by insurance companies.

The usual telltale sign of shops like this is when they emphasize cheap prices over quality repairs. Avoid these shops at all cost.
  • Be wary of insurers out to make a fast buck.
Some insurance companies have certain car repair centers attached to them. While this is often all well and good, there will be instances when said repair centers – in tandem with their corresponding insurers – won’t exactly have your best interests in mind. Specifically, these kinds of repair shops will fix damages in the shortest time and easiest way possible, with quality as a trade-off.

Whenever possible, avoid going to repair shops specified by your insurance company. Better yet, do a thorough background check first on your insurer before committing to it.
  • Have all your car’s repairs done under one roof.
Some repair shops have a reputation for giving the best jobs in certain aspects. For example, one shop may be renowned for the bang up job they do with windshield repairs, while another may specialize in paint restoration.

While having different parts of your car serviced in different shops isn’t necessarily bad per se, there is always the off-chance that it may come out looking like Frankenstein’s monster if you don’t keep a close eye on things; that is, parts may look disjointed from each other.

To save you from this, go to a shop which covers every aspect of car repair, like D&D Body Shop. D&D has the qualifications, certifications, and – most importantly – experience to ensure your car gets the best overall makeover it deserves; from the ICAR-Gold certified technicians capable of handling any car model to the facilities equipped with state-of-the-art gear, and to the top notch service D&D offers.

With D&D Body Shop, not only will your car be fully functional again, but it will look seamlessly spiffy to boot.

Can You Find the Best Body Repair Shop in San Mateo?

San Mateo is one city where life moves pretty fast and so do their cars. So, if you live in the area and your car gets into a collision accident, you surely won’t have any problem finding a body repair shop to restore your car to its condition prior to the unfortunate event. But then, with the numerous choices you are faced with, the question now is, which shop do you choose? Do you go for the one offering the best service? Do you go for the most affordable option? How about the most convenient one? Can you find all these factors in one body shop?

These days, looking for the best business involved in repairing damaged cars is a tricky situation. While it used to be around ten years ago that the only options one has would be to get referred by the insurance company or the dealership to a repair shop, these days independent facilities are taking the spotlight for having more qualified personnel and the best equipment. With the fast pace of vehicle development, it is not enough for technicians to have years of experience in car restoration. Repair facilities should not only hire qualified and experienced car technicians, but should be able to have them continually educated on trends and breakthroughs of vehicle repair.

Of course, it goes without saying that the equipment these technicians use to repair their clients’ vehicles should not be the same ones used in the 1990s. With the upgrading of equipment and personnel, car repair shops also have to contend with spreading the word of their expertise by advertising in all forms of media, from the local paper to the Internet.

It is best to get familiar with body repair shops even though you don't need one at the moment. One day your car will need body repair or car repainting. Do not wait for your car to get into an accident before looking for a repair facility. Making a sound decision when your car has already been damaged would be more of a challenge than looking at each option without the pressure of time and urgency. It is most likely that you make an intelligent decision after evaluating your options thoroughly. Deciding on which repair shop to go to when your car has been into a wreck results in emotional and hasty compromises you may most likely regret in the long run.

If you are in the San Mateo area, look into DnD Body Shop. You will be presented with technicians with I-CAR Gold certification, which means they are up to date in their expertise on anything involving car repair, from windshield repair to paint refurbishment. Visit both DnD’s website and facilities at 955 North Amphlett Boulevard and see for yourself how advanced are their equipment. You can also check out the cleanliness and presentability of the shop. Of course, customer satisfaction is a must, so find out from DnD’s customers how the shop fares in terms of timeliness, warranties and accuracy of the estimate. Lastly, you need to know if the shop you will choose does an impeccable job in repairing their clients’ vehicles. You will see how DnD Body Shop has earned a sterling reputation in that respect.

Letting Your Dad Take Care of His Toys

When it comes to hobbies and interests, people do not seem to age. Let’s look at it this way: Back when they were girls, women would dress up their dolls and style their hair. When they’re all grown up, the same girls now have jobs and money, so they continue to get clothes, but this time, for themselves. The same is true with guys. When they are still in their short pants and t-shirts, boys would spend endless hours racing their toy cars and running them on any surface, with them supplying the vroom-ing sound effects as they speed these matchbox-sized contraptions.

Alas, boys grow up to become men, assume more responsibilities, and raise their own families. But this doesn’t mean their fascination with cars is forgotten once they get older. In fact, just like women, armed with their own money, men can now realize their childhood fancies in grand fashion. Boys who used to be attached to their matchbox toys are now men and fathers who pledge their devotion to their families and of course, more expensive and bigger toys – their own cars.

Guys just have a more enduring relationship with their interests. Do you notice that men, even the most mature ones, just can’t be weaned from what they find fascinating? Whether it’s video games, Sunday night football, or cars, men will always be devoted to them. Call it passion, immaturity, second childhood, or even a waste of time, there’s no badmouthing these interests to a guy.

If your dad is into cars, finding a good car restoration center is definitely a must. It would be a very sweet idea to find this car restoration shop and refer it to him on Father’s Day to show him how supportive you are of his ‘passion’. Take note, though that finding a good body shop specializing in collision repair is way easier. You have to remember this, because this coming Father’s Day, you might want to focus on finding body shops that are really good in restoring rather than just repairing vehicles involved in collision accidents. If you are unfamiliar with the difference, let’s put it this way: restoration and collision repair may both involve repainting, dent smoothening, windshield repair, and others, but vehicle restoration goes beyond these procedures. Restoration of cars is more of an art, which involves more effort, time and money on the part of firms that specialize in it. Restoration aims to realize the potential of the car, not just to return it to its former state. Restoration is more detail-oriented and intensive than just collision repair.

So, if you are looking for a Father’s Day gift idea for a dad who is into cars, you have to be sure first that you know what kind of auto body shop you choose. There are only a few shops that have repairmen who are both excellent artistically and technically. For a shop that deals with all the elements of car body repair, be sure to check out D&D Body Shop. Your dad will surely appreciate your effort in finding him a place that’s not only all talk, but has the goods and experience to back it all up.
